Current Lifestyle Favourites No. 1: Pokemon Go, Longanisa Sausages, and More

Thanksgiving just passed here in Canada and I hope it was a blessed time with loved ones. In the spirit of this holiday, I’ll be sharing a few things that I’ve been recently loving and of course thankful for.

I wear my Fitbit everywhere! I like that it tracks my daily steps, activity, and water intake. It also tracks my monthly menstrual cycle (sorry if it’s TMI). It comes with the black rubber strap, but I wanted it to look classier since I’m wearing it everyday, everywhere. I ordered this champagne milanese mesh strap that’s compatible with my Fitbit Inspire from Amazon here and it completely changed the look from a sporty activity tracker to a dressy accessory. It comes with two size options and it’s fixed with a magnet. So easy to use.

Speaking of tracking my daily activity, one huge contributor to my daily step goal (10,000 steps a day) is playing Pokémon Go. There’s definitely people who love the game, and those who absolutely hate it! Luckily I fall into the group that loves the app. I play it daily with C, and it motivates us to get outside and take a walk in our neighbourhood. If you don’t know what the game is, you’re in the role of a Pokémon trainer and you travel around catching Pokémon that appear in the vicinity. I know kids, teenagers, and adults who play. It really does encourage everyone to get out and explore new places.

If you ask me what food I’ve been craving for the last while, it would be Filipino longanisa sausages. I tried them for the first time a month ago and it was so delicious, especially with the sweeter taste that they have. We’ve grilled them over the BBQ, cooked them in the air fryer, and the other day at a dear friend’s place we had them baked with brussel sprouts and cheese… just thinking about it makes my mouth water. I need to learn how to recreate that dish for myself! Here we tried baking them in croissant dough to make homemade mini sausage buns.

I’ve been using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette for my eyes for the past month. The shadows are so buttery and pigmented. You can see and feel the difference compared to some other eyeshadows out there. My current look has been mixing Burnt Orange and Realgar and applying it all over the lids, with a bit of dark pink shimmer in the center (I used a Sephora Collection single shadow that’s discontinued, this one here Color 329 is the most similar). I like the warmth of the look and it reminds me of the fall colours.

What are you enjoying right now, or what are you thankful for? Let me know in the comments below!

Until next time,
